Social Media @ Ipswich City Council

In my role with Ipswich City Council I coordinate all digital content for Ipswich First, manage their Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter pages as well as plan integrated media campaigns with numerous departments.

 

The thumbnails on the right are content highlights from my time at council so far.

Social Media @ Exclusive Tyre Distributors

At Exclusive Tyre Distributors I produced a wide range of image and video content for use across online mediums as well as for marketing materials and media assets.

 

I also managed social media pages and substantial online communities for three national tyre brands - Cooper Tires Australia, Mickey Thompson Tires Australia and Terrafirma Tyres - and LinkedIn content for Executives and Sales teams.

 

Additionally, I delivered Media Partnerships with 4WD industry partners and managed dozens of ‘Influencers’, Brand Ambassador and high-quality content creator partnerships. I was also a 'stuntman' in a 4WDTV episode - watch from the 14:00 minute mark.

The following are highlights from my ETD social media content plans between April-August 2021.

Social Media @ GIVIT

At GIVIT, I played a vital role in the charity’s social media activities, feeding the content team daily with ready-to-post images, video and copy for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn.

I also audited the content strategy for GIVIT’s initial social media channels, and implemented their first ever results-based content strategy. During my first three months in the role, I more than tripled the charity's overall social media reach and audience engagement.

During the 2019/20 bushfires across Australia , I moderated and managed GIVIT’s rapidly growing social media communities. At the height of the bushfire emergencies, I was responsible for responding to thousands of 'Direct Messages' and @tagged content each day, ensuring that every generous and potential donor felt appreciated.

Other Social Media work

In my previous role with Aruga PR, many campaigns included engaging social media ‘Influences/Personalities’ to reach targeted and new audiences.

 

I managed several successful campaigns for clients leveraging luxury, lifestyle and family-orientated Influencers across South East QLD for unpaid experienced-based content in support of indoor skydiving, festivals and interactive live arts.

 

Often, the organic reach achieved through my 'Influencer Engagement' exceeded media coverage reach, and directly correlated with increased ticket sales.

 

I also have experience as Editor of AAA Backstage and my role at Agency North in growing social media audiences through compelling and timely content.

 

This included introducing high-quality video content and ‘memes’ to better engage AAA's younger audiences, and implementing a consistent content plan for Agency North to better illustrate the work behind-the-scenes that went into press conferences, newspaper photoshoots and TV packages for clients.

I have experience utilising social media monitoring/listening tools including Hootsuite, AgoraPulse and ‘Insights’ tools across the main platforms.
